| Masjid Ibrahim &
Islamic Centre, established more than
14 years ago, is located on Barking
Road in East End of London. The area
surrounding the mosque is inhabited
by a large number of Muslim populations
including Pakistan, India, Bengaldesh,
East Africa and the Middle East. Though
a couple of mosques are also situated
in the surrounding vicinity, still
they couldn't fully cater to the growing
needs of the community. |

Allah (SWT) says |
And
enjoin one another to Piety
and Taqwa and do not enoin
one another to sin and transgression. |
| Prophet
Muhammad (SAW) said |
Whosoever
builds a masjid (mosque) for
the sake of Allah’s
pleasure, Allah (SWT) will
build a house for him / her
in Jannah. (Bukhari &
Muslim) |

The project of rebuilding
Masjid Ibrahim, originally a mosque
set up in an old car show room, was
conceived to meet the very demand
of the community and to bring about
much needed improvement in social,
cultural and educational needs of
the community. The rebuilt mosque,
designed as a multi purpose Islamic
centre, will not only provided an
enhanced capacity for the daily prayer
but would also contribute towards
educational and cultural requirements
of the surrounding community.
